Joelle Head, PR Intern
Joelle Head is a senior at the College of Charleston. She is pursuing a Communications degree with a
concentration in Media Studies. Joelle moved to South Carolina from Florida in 1992 and lived in the
small quiet town of Gilbert, SC (population approximately 600 people) until she moved to Charleston
(population approximately 120,000 people) to attend the College of Charleston in 2005.
Joelle says that the things that she misses the most about her hometown are the fresh air and the endless
amount of free parking spots! While she misses the small town life, she has wholeheartedly welcomed the
excitement and new challenges that come with her new home.
In Charleston, Joelle has been busy making a name for herself in school and in the communications
field. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars,
and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Fraternity. She is a distinguished student, who has completed
three internships in the last year while keeping a 3.7 grade point average.
Joelle is exploring both the worlds of broadcasting and public relations by interning
to discover exactly what she would like to do to when she graduates in May 2009.
Her other internships include Apex Broadcasting and Rawle Murdy & Associates.
